Carmel Mikol Album Release shows for “In My Bones” in Cape Breton

Click to Stream Carmel Mikol's "In My Bones" for FREERoster artist Carmel Mikol travels home to Cape Breton this week to release her critically acclaimed new record “In My Bones” with friends in Baddeck tonight (April 8th, 7pm at the Masonic Hall, 24 Queen St.) and Friday in Sydney (April 9th, 8pm at Wentworth Perk Coffeehouse, 697 George St.).

Blaming Myself, the first single from her debut album, climbed to #3 this week on the East Coast Countdown. The title track In My Bones won the 2009 Great American Song Contest in the folk category while Sunny Days took a gold medal in the 2009 ISSA Songwriting Contest folk category.

Kim Wempe to perform at JunoFEST 2010 in St. John’s

Click to Stream Kim Wempe's ECMA Winning "Where I Need to Be" EP for FREEWe’re proud to announce roster artist and ECMA Galaxie Rising Star winner Kim Wempe will perform as part of the 2010 Juno Awards festivities  in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Kim’s JunoFEST 2010 performance goes Friday, April 16th at 9pm on the stage of O’Reilly’s (13 George St.). That stage features some of Canada’s most exciting established and up-and-coming female recording artists… Terri Clark, Karla Pilgrim and The Keats.

If you don’t already have JunoFest access, don’t fret! Wristbands are $30 (including tax) and give you priority access to ALL JunoFest events. That’s more than 100 shows in 16 venues over two crazy days! (Venues are subject to capacity.)
